COSMOS Final Conference documentation available

Over the past years, the intermodal sector in South-East Europe has made a considerable progress, but, still the sector is challenged. The countries in the region have massively invested in transport infrastructure joining efforts with private investors, while rail and intermodal transport operators and logistics services suppliers have created new models for extending services so as to meet the customers’ demands.

In this context, six Round Tables performed in the scope of the COSMOS project in Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia, have also demonstrated the large potential of the sector and its innovative actors who are prepared for the future needs.

To further debate on these problems and to set new opportunities and solutions, the final conference of the COSMOS project was initiated on 12 June 2014 in Vienna (Austria). The final conference convened high-level representatives and stakeholders of the intermodal industry in South East Europe, who presented and discussed recent achievements and future prospects of intermodal transport in the countries concerned.
